Read Veggie and The Beast K's review and that's pretty much exactly how I feel too! Good review. The moment you walk in, you're acosted by an employee welcoming you and handing you a menu. Then, you're on your own. Uhh....do I go to this counter to order and then this one to pay? If I'm eating in, do I yell my order over the glass case? Who gives me my number for my table? Why are all these people standing around? Oddly and sadly, the best way to order is online - then stop in and pick it up at your convenience. If I could give a 3 for navigation and ease and a 4.5 for food, I would do so. I LOVE the vegetarian french onion soup. A must try. The seafood gumbo is good. The sandwiches and salad bar are all very good. The potato soup, potato salad, chicken salad and pasta salad are all just OK. Warning: The baked potatoes are literally the size of a football. I got the one with cheese, sour cream and bacon and it weighed over two pounds. No joke. I would definitely suggest checking them out - just know what you're getting into when you go! And try the onion soup!

Just tried this out for the first time and after reading the other reviews, I had to laugh because I experienced some of the same issues with placing my "to go" order!! Luckily, I was there early so no one else was in line, otherwise, it might have been more annoying. I went to the beginning of the cafeteria line and placed my to go order only to be then told to take my check around the counter to the other register where I then noticed the "place to go order's here" sign!!! Oops. Problem is, you can only see that sign if you are standing in the To Go "Waiting area"!! Anyway, I get that the place is a little pricey for deli food, but I got the "Half Muff" - a rather unfortunate name for half of the muffaletta sandwich and it was a good value and tasty. It was HUGE and I can't really imagine eating a whole one. The bread was good and the olive spread was tasty with a variety of olives, decent salami and ham. I've had better but not often. I would probably return to try some of the 'po boys but not a place I would just pop into to get a deli sandwich - too expensive and just didn't feel like a neighborhood deli!

I really don't understand what people consider to be so great about this place. The menu is boring. There isn't anything remotely interesting on it. You can get the same things for much less...and better. When you walk in, it's confusing. Nobody bothers to explain where to pay, pick up your food, will they bring it to the table, etc. When the food was brought to the table, the staff acted confused and were very unfriendly. As stated, the food is overpriced, bland and boring. You can find better almost anywhere.

tasty sandwiches, excellent/courteous service, & very reasonable prices = recommended!

This location is tricky to find but worth the search. The dining room is laid out a little weird, i defiantly prefer eating in the bridge street location more but the food is still high quality.

I ended up here with my parents after Buckeye Hall of Fame (or whatever its called) had too long of a wait. My mom & I each ordered the Chicken Pesto panini & I'm pretty sure my dad had a Rueben. The menu is huge - there were so many choices to pick from. It's a little like Panera except the servers brought our food right to the table. Portions were huge. My mom & I really should have shared our meals. My one complaint is that they included tomatoes on my sandwich when I specifically asked for it without.

    (4)
  • Travis Z.

The food is great, comparable to Panera bread in quality, but it also has a salad buffet and FREE ice cream.

  • Kate Q.

I love this place. The food is delicious and it's a great place for people with food allergies. I'm gluten and dairy free, so any place where I can actually get a sandwich is such a treat. I would also agree with other reviews about the ordering: I really don't understand why people are confused. It's pretty a pretty straightforward process, much like any other deli.

The Dublin Jason's is my favorite restaurant. My wife is such a good cook that no commercial place can compete with her. But if you want to eat healthy and you eat out , "This is the Place". The prices are fair and actually a bargain for the quality of the ingredients. They allow the customer to view the preparation process and the salad bar has many organic offerings. Then there is the guilty pleasure of free soft serve ice cream. They will toast sandwiches on gluten free bread. They are one of the best at identifying nutritional values and even more important to me , the allergens in the food. If you go to jasonsdeli.com you can view the nutritional information by clicking a few times. I will be telling my friends and family about this great place. You do need to explore the menu and question the staff to find out about many things that they have. They try to prepare sandwiches to order. They will toast their gluten free bread and with hot pastrami, swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, stone ground mustard, and any other thing you want on the sandwich, you should enjoy.

I stopped in here for lunch today and it was about the same as the one in Dublin. Except a LOT harder to get to! I hate to see it once the Grandview Yard is fully populated. Anyway I had a bowl of tortilla soup and a club sandwich. Neither was bad but neither was remarkably good either. When I think of deli's, Katzingers still is the winner.

I really want to like this place. The menu looks good, the ingredients are interesting, but I'm just not sold. The wow-factor is non-existent here, unfortunately. I've eaten here twice: once I ordered the club. It was decent but I was left wishing I had tried something else. The next time was a catered office meeting with a huge array of different sandwiches and wraps. Everything was cut into little squares, so I got to try a little bit of everything. Not ONE thing piqued my interest out of this entire variety. I was most excited to try the special homemade chicken salad. I read that pineapple was in it, which intrigued me. I love pineapple and am not opposed to it in my chicken salad at all. I was looking forward to it. I'm disappointed to report that it was a huge let down. The strange thing, after all of this, is I am still willing to give them another chance. I know the place has potential, it just needs to kick it up a notch!

I took a friend who was visiting out of town from here as we wanted a quick lunch and I had heard great things. Upon arriving I was a bit overwhelmed by the huge menu, but pleasantly surprised by the variety. I ended up chosing the Califorina Club and got the side of fruit with yogurt. Simply said, it was amazing. It was a huge portion, so I ended up eating half and saving the rest for dinner that night. It mixed all of my favorite sandwich items (turkey, bacon, and guacamole), was fresh, and very filling. The fruit was also fresh and the yogurt was one of the best I've had - I actually ended up using it as a condiment for the sandwich. The drink station had a promegranite powerade type drink, which was delicious. They also have the small circular crushed ice which made it seem like an icee, which I was very excited about. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was FREE frozen yogurt. I ended up getting a small cone of vanilla, which was a fantastic end to the meal. The atmosphere was busy and loud, but I enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the cafeteria like complex. The salad bar looked amazing, I may have to try that next time. I will definitely be making this a regular lunch place with friends, there was nothing I didn't enjoy about it.

Decided to give them another try today for lunch. I got the light Reuben, and it was bad. WAY too much sour kraut and the little meat that was there, was sliced way too thick, with lots of grizzle and fat. Couldnt even finish it. Sorry Jason, Im not a fan.

What a great place! Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff, quick service, and great food. The salad bar here has a huge selection of fresh ingredients. The soups are flavorful and filling, and the gratis ice cream a very nice touch. You can't go wrong here!

I go here a lot for lunch breaks. They are always great and staff is friendly! They are super busy but never run late or run out of things.. They are prepared for busy times as places like this should be in Grandview!

I offer up to the 5 Star gods the french onion soup. It's vegetarian!!!!! and so, so, so very good. This alone keeps me a-comin' back. There's very little difference in size for the cup of soup vs the bowl. Rich and brothy, plenty of onions and large pieces of toasty bread/croutons soak up the goodness. Top it all off with a melty slice of provolone and you're rocking out. The veggie pasta salad is meh. The salad bar is fricking amazing. Plenty of variety, pasta and bean salads, pudding, hummous, and more. Soft serve icecream!! flavored teas both sweetened and unsweetened.

I had a free sandwich birthday coupon so I grabbed carryout last night. The zucchini grillini sandwich was pretty good, along with the grilled veggies side. I also got a side of potato salad. All good. I would like to try other menu items. I always appreciate vegetarian options.

My food here was not that good. A Chicken Panini sandwich turns out to be two toasted dry buns and chunks of chicken with no mayo or other dressing on it. However they did bring me some soup that I didn't order or pay for. The food was McDonald's quality and made me intensely sleepy after eating it. I give them one star for bringing me some free soup and another star because of two extra hot chicks that were in there at the time.

Just as I write a (somewhat) bad review for Jason's Deli's sandwiches, I come here a few times after the fact for the salad bar. The salad bar is decent. We decided to try it because the Giant Eagle one was pissing us off. We like doing the salad bar thing twice a week and Giant Eagle was never reliable with having everything stocked so we vowed to never go there again. Jason's Deli is always being re-stocked and they have a good selection. It doesn't hurt that the price for their salad bar is pretty much the same as Giant Eagle's.

I'm not sure why anyone would come here and not get the salad bar. It's seriously awesome, has plenty of fresh vegetables, plus lots of other great things - especially the hummus. All great! And if you come in just wanting the salad bar, you can skip through the first part of the line and go straight to the register to get rung up. Pretty easy when they are really busy! (Oh, and the free ice cream isn't too great, but it's free!) I have also ordered from this location several times for work functions and they are pretty easy to work with. The boxed lunches, sandwich trays, and pasta are fan favorites. I particularly like the brownies on the dessert tray. Just make sure to ask they bring along all cups/plates/utensils/napkins, as sometimes they forget.

One of my favorite Grandview area lunch spots. The deli sandwiches are pretty great, the salad bar is very large and is bargain priced considering it's all you can eat, and they have healthy sandwich and wrap options. Seating is plentiful. It's a little more expensive overall than a lot of lunch options around, but it's delicious and fast.

HORRIBLE! - NOT A DELI! I ordered The New York Yankee which should of had pastrami, corned beef, swiss and mustard on rye. When I got back to work there was no pastrami in the sandwich at all whatsoever. Sadly the pastrami was the part I was really looking forward to (before reading other bad pastrami reviews) and all I was left with was the the *mediocre at best, out of a package tasting, corned beef and generic swiss. The rye bread used definitely does not hold up and just breaks apart not to mention the fact that the taste of it makes Wonder bread seem gourmet. I also had what you they call "french onion" soup which has absolutely no relation to any actual French Onion Soup I or anyone else has probably ever had.. They should call it *Beef Box Soup with Mush-n- Cheese. Just horrible! I would of gone back and return the excuse for a meal if I didn't have work. I will never eat there again and highly recommend anyone reading this to not waste the time or money. GO TO KATZINGERS! MMMMMMMMMMMM

Jason's is a great place to get lunch if you have to make a bunch of people happy. Today we had an order for twenty people and we wanted to eat at 11 a.m. Well Jason's doesn't open until 11. We called and they told us they could have our order ready AT 11AM. They offered to have it ready even earlier. Jason's deli is our favorite place to get lunch. There's something for everybody and the service is obliviously outstanding. Five stars for this update.

My husband, daughter and I decided to eat at Jason's on Friday night. I ordered the black bean salad without cheese or sour cream and my husband ordered a rueben with pastrami. My salad came with both cheese and sour cream and the waitress offered no apology she just took my salad and walked away. My husbands sandwich was not edible. The rye bread fell apart and the pastrami was so thick and fatty. The only reason my daughter liked it was because of the free ice cream. It was horrible and we will not be coming back.

Had Jason's Deli for the first time today- extremely impressed. I explained I had never been there and they guided me through everything with ease. I got an excellent sandwich with chips and a cup of excellent tortilla soup. The salad bar, while I didn't try it, looked excellent. There are not many proteins on the salad bar so I had wondered if perhaps you have to pay for these separately. Either way, the selection on their menu will definitely get me to come back. The quality of the food was much higher than I had expected, and the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely a five out of five.

I have been eating at Jason's Delis across the USA for the last 13 years and I can say that this location is by far the best. The staff members are friendly and work hard. You cannot get better food for your money. If you have to eat gluten free like me, they have a GF menu from which I recommend the pollo mexicano. Super delicious!

I wanted to give only four stars (because it is a chain), but I couldn't find anything to complain about. In fact, I freaking loved this place. I don't know how I haven't ever been here before, but thanks to my girl Lydia for introducing me! In my college days, I got used to McAlister's Deli (another national chain), and I have been missing it in my life since moving to Cbus a decade ago. So here's the scoop on Jason's Deli: it's not just sandwiches! I think I may have assumed this... thus keeping me away for so long? Idk... moving on. The space is huge and open and bright, and the people are super friendly. I was warmly welcomed in and was offered help with ordering. They have gluten-free sandwich bread! Like legit bread... not that mealy shit that everybody else has. Oh happy day. Way to make me feel like a human again, Jason's... my first sandwich in 4 months! The menu is expansive - soups, sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, desserts, and fresh fruit. I ended up with a half club and a small baked potato. Everything was delicious! The man who took my order even checked on me to see how the gf bread was. Talk about amazing customer service! There's even free ice cream for everybody! Protip: Apple maps totally got me lost here. Ignore it and just go behind LA Fitness.

I was working at a studio in Grandview today and was tasked with fetching the lunch. We decided to try this place instead of the usual Panera. I ordered 4 soups, 5 sandwiches, 1 pasta, and two salads. Everything came exactly as ordered, labeled for each eater, and with a unanimous "Delicious" vote from everyone at the table. My own Taco Salad was very good (I had to pick the onions out of the pico, but that's just me not liking raw onion, there was nothing actually wrong with the salad), and I can't wait to eat there again tomorrow and try a sandwich!

I really like Jason's Deli. The Boy-Band exclusive radio choice they had going on last Saturday had us snickering through our lunch, teehee! The parking garage at this location makes it feel a little Easton-ish which is off-putting to me, but I guess there is never a lack of parking! The staff here seems pleasant, the food is always great and their salad bar was in tip top shape. Everything was fresh and didn't have all the stuff all stirred together, which sometimes happens at salad bars! The restaurant itself is very bright and clean. There is plenty of seating indoors and I look forward to coming back out in the warmer months and enjoying the huge patio to get my munch on!

Full disclosure: I've only ever had their salad bar. But, what a salad bar it is!!! Huge selection of veggies, fruits and various nuts and other toppings, as well as potato, pasta and bean salads. Yum yum yum!

It's like a cafeteria - only cleaner and more efficient. Sure you get lots of options, which be honest, they're usually not that bad! Salads, soups, sandwiches - you know, the usual lunchtime fare. All of that is found at Jason's. I've been here a couple times for lunchtime meetings and the lunch crowd definitely comes out in full force at this location. The lines are sometimes a hassle, but see my note above about efficiency. You can tell it's one of their top priorities. It's cafeteria line style too. But make sure if you're getting take-out to get the hell out of the way at the end of the line to keep things moving along smoothly. Out of all the items I've tried (and actually can't remember because they were forgettable) you have to give the Beefeater a try. "Hot roast beef, provolone, mayo on New Orleans French bread with a cup of au jus." A freaking bargain for the size of this thing and one of the tastiest sammiches I've gotten outside of making in my own home in quite awhile.

As an ice cream fan, I was most excited by the free ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, or twist, with chocolate syrup available too) with your meal that is offered at Jason's. In addition to what you'd expect to see on a deli menu (salads, sandwiches, soups), the extensive menu also features pastas and very large baked potatoes. The sandwich menu includes everything from the usual cold deli sandwich to paninis and muffalettas. There is an all-you-can-eat salad bar with a lot of interesting ingredients like hummus and trail mix. Jason's has a focus on healthy eating, offering a variety of organic ingredients and the like. There is also a very nice gluten free menu that can be requested. They offer gluten free bread - I've heard it's Udi's - that is quite tasty. There are a lot of salad bar ingredients, salads, and some potatoes available gluten free too. The sandwiches are generously sized - those I've gone with who have larger appetites were quite content after finishing theirs, while I always have to bring half of mine home to enjoy later. Service has always been good here when I go - in fact, I usually get asked if I've been before so that they can explain how it works - but I've never ordered to-go before, just eaten in the restaurant.

Had the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich and Fire Roasted Torilla soup. Soup was awesome, sandwich was good. I guess I was expecting a spicey sandwich. Next time I'll ask for some hot peppers or put some hot sauce on it. It did have guacomole on it which was pretty good.

Today was my first visit to a Jason's Deli. I was excited to see a good range of menu for vegitarians/gluten free eaters and decided on the wild salmon salad. I loved the greens, beets, walnuts etc. Unfortunately the salmon was grossly overcooked and extremely dry. In addition to the fact that my friend who I came with was sick almost immediately after her meal I'm not sold on a return visit. Will see.

My visit to Jason's Deli was terrible. First, upon entering the Deli, we were quite confused. A manager man then shoved menus in our faces. The menu is over-priced and lackluster. My boyfriend ordered a turkey sandwich and I ordered a bagel with veggies. The total was $17. I get a far better bagel sandwich with a pickel for $3. We were then directed to pay at the register. All told, we plainly said twice to the person taking our order and once to the person taking our money that the order was to go. Of course, the food was not made to go. When we informed them of this fact, the workers passed the plates around for about 5 minutes before someone finally decided to put the sandwiches in boxes. When I finally opened the box, I discovered that my bagel sandwich (which was really just three veggies and some cheese) had some sort of sauce I had not ordered spread all over it. This place is a complete rip-off with food that you could get from a high-school cafeteria. Never eat here!

Awsome after workout lunch. 1/2 Ruben sandwich, drink and great salad bar was $12!...including tax! I'm visiting from LA and this is a wonderful discovery. I'll make this a regular stop and so should you.

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Um free soft serve ice cream! Awesome salad bar. Crazy amount of gluten free options ...even gluten free bread for all their sammies! This may sound silly, but I was thrilled they had slushie ice for your fountain soda. Score!
